If
the correct answer were to be picked by the number of times a name was
mentioned, the answer would have been Sunday Adewusi, followed by Kam Salem.
Right? Wrong!
The
correct answer is Emmanuel Olufemi
Olufunwa, former Commissioner of Police, Western Region.
Pa
Olufunwa from Odogbolu had a distinguished service in the Nigeria Police Force.
On June 11, 1960, on the occasion of the Celebration of Her Majesty’s Birthday,
the Queen of England conferred on him the Colonial
Police Medal.
He
was part of the Federal Government Delegation sent to dialogue with Col
Odumegwu-Ojukwu on the eve of the Nigerian Civil War.

In
1979, the then Head of State, General Olusegun Obasanjo conferred Chief
Olufunwa with the National Award of the Order of the Niger (OON) for his
services to the Nation.
Of

mentioned the former COP’s surname and designation.
